Overview
The Trash Control project collects data to be used for planning for better placement of trash and recycling bins. The group also regularly picks up litter on and around campus! This project also works with Facilities Management and GT Recycling.
Highlights:
- Bi-weekly litter pickups through mapped routes
- Catalogued a total of 335 outdoor trash cans and recycling bins through crowdsourcing
- Created an outline for the redistribution of waste bins to increase collection efficiency and reduce litter
